Maruha Nichiro has always developed its business globally, but the medium-term management plan “Innovation Toward 2021”, which began in the fiscal year 2018, sets forth the company’s vision for the next 10 years: for Maruha Nichiro brand seafood products and processed foods to be produced and sold in the global domain. With this, the organization has begun to aim for further globalization. In order to systematically secure and develop the human resources to carry this out, the company revamped its Global Human Resource Development Program in which defines human resources as “people who can deliver results at work anywhere and with anyone.
